You get "extra value" every time you re-charge your card and you can save time by going straight to the ball machines. Plus, save an additional 30% on every bucket when you use your range card during happy hours! There's nothing to remember, the machines just debit less money off your card for each bucket during happy hour. Come in the shop and ask or email it to him and he'll get right back to you. Our pro shop carries USGA rules books and decisions book to help you learn the rules. Here are a couple situations that Les explained for our customers. See if you know the answers before clicking to see Les' answers. SITUATION #1: When you get free relief from a sprinkler head in your stance, do you get to clean the ball before you drop it? SITUATION #2: I hit my ball into a large pile of sand on the side of the fairway (they're fixing bunkers). The pile was clearly marked as Ground Under Repair. However, I could not find my ball in the pile. I dropped a ball within two club lengths at my nearest point of relief no closer to the hole, from where I thought it entered the pile. I did NOT take a penalty stroke for lost ball. Was correct? SITUATION #3: During a match, my ball comes to rest in the wood chippings in the center of a recently stump-ground tree (if the tree was still there, it was in the center of the trunk!). It was not marked as ground under repair. It appears that this is a completed tree removal process. My playing partners and I couldn't decide if it was a situation for a free drop, so I completed the hole playing two balls (one as the ball lay, one with a drop at nearest point of relief from all the wood chippings) and we thought we'd ask the committee after the match. What is the correct ruling? Click here to read the Les' answers to the rules questions... | |||||||||
