    STUFF WE LOVE

Are the "May gray" skies causing too much glare for you to read the greens? Solve the problem before "June gloom" hits - get yourself a pair of PeakVision performance sunglasses. Dual Zone technology means the upper zone manages bright sun and glare, while the lower zone enhances contrast for improved green reading. Preferred by 3 out of 4 golfers. Priced from $99.99 to $169.99. Come in the store or buy online -- our online store ships anywhere in the USA! SHOP OUR ONLINE STORE NOW.

    RANGE CARD
    HAPPY HOURS

Stretch your golf practice dollars by using a range card instead of purchasing individual buckets. You get "extra value" every time you re-charge your card and you can save time by going straight to the ball machines.

Plus, save an additional 30% on every bucket when you use your range card during happy hours! There's nothing to remember, the machines just debit less money off your card for each bucket during happy hour. And, there's no limit to the number of buckets you can get during a happy hours session.

Don't have your card yet? It's easy to get one in the pro shop - from only $20! More info about range card rates and savings

    DON'T MAKE GOLF
    TOO HARD!

If your clubs (including your putter) are not custom-fit to your unique, individual swing, then you're probably making golf way harder than it needs to be. Properly fitted clubs can help you immediately hit the ball farther, straighter and more consistently!

Seeing ball flight on the range or rolling putts on the real-grass green is the best way to find the best clubs for you. Hitting into a net or on artificial turf does not give you all the feedback you need to make the proper club choice.

Call today for your personal outdoor clubfitting session here at CGC where you can test and compare hundreds of demo and fitting system clubs from 13 top brands while working with a professional clubfitter and FlightScope launch monitor.

Read more about which brands we fit and the CGC clubfitting process, including Q&A...

Do you have a question about custom clubfitting or you're not sure if you need new clubs? Email CGC owner Susan Roll, the 2007 SCPGA Clubfitter of the Year.

    PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE

You never have to worry about buying at the best price, because at CGC you're covered by a 30-day low price match guarantee on EVERYTHING we sell AND we accept local competitor coupons (exact item). Plus, if one of our manufacturers is offering a special promotion, we'll be participating! We appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and, by shopping with an independent local retailer, you know you'll receive personalized, knowledgeable service to go hand-in-hand with low prices. Weird Rules Situations - Do You Know the Answers?

As we head into competitive golf season, it's a good idea to brush up on your rules knowledge - especially for "weird" situations. Below are three situations sent in by CGC customers to test your rules knowledge. See if you know the answers before clicking to see the answers.

Conveniently for all of us at CGC, Assistant Professional Les Duer is on our team. He's an avid student of the rules of golf, as well as a clubfitting professional, and can answer just about any rules question that comes up.

If you need a little help on rules or have your own weird situation, you can always email Les or come in the shop and pick up a rules or explanations book.

    Weird Situation #1:
If a putted ball is holed but then bounces out of the hole because the bottom/ side of the plastic cup was previously damaged, would that be considered an abnormal cup condition? The damage to the cup was by someone apparently jamming the flagstick into the side of the cup bottom next to an aeration part of the hole, making the cup irregular.

    Weird Situation #2:
Recently, I hit a tee shot on a long par 5 hole that hit a goose just before the ball hit the ground. The goose was surprised, but walked away. However, I got none of the expected substantial roll on my tee shot. Can I get relief?

    Weird Situation #3:
Player marks ball on green, picks up ball and then scouts the line. Player goes back, replaces ball and removes marker. Player never addresses ball and decides to scout line again, leaving the replaced ball without a marker.

As player walked away from replaced ball, ball moves closer to hole and comes to rest. The player putted the ball from the new location without taking a penalty.

This happened in a tournament and the player did not ask for a ruling. All the players in group agreed with what player did, were they correct?

Click to read the correct rulings on these weird situations...
