Knowing the rules can be to your benefit out on the course. Here is a question sent in by a CGC customer to test your rules knowledge. See if you know the answer before clicking to see the answer.
Conveniently for all of us at CGC, Assistant Professional
Les Duer is on our team. He's an avid student of the rules of golf, as well as a clubfitting professional, and can answer just about any rules question that comes up.
If you need a little help on rules or have your own weird situation, you can always
email Les or come in the shop and pick up a rules or explanations book.
QUESTION from CGC customer Tim:
Hitting from a tee box, I clunk one into the swamp in front of the tee. It has yellow stakes, so I'm only allowed two club length relief, not line of flight, right? Or, am I allowed to tee it up again because I'm on the tee and hit my third shot off of a tee in the teeing area? And is it the same if the stakes are red?
